NORDUM was planning a buildup of a centre for environmental competence in Brazil, Sao Paulo, within the framework of a PPP-project. The centre puts the main emphasis of the work in environmental consultation and further education.

Within the framework of further education the project starts with courses and seminars for employees of companies and authorities mainly in the field of environmental protection in a company, of management of hazardous waste sites and management of wastes. A cooperation with authorities and universities in Brazil is an important basis for the success of the project. In the starting phase seminars for hazardous waste site and waste management were carried out successfully in cooperation with the topmost environmental authority in Sao Paulo
